The world’s greatest annual country
sports event, The CLA Game Fair, will be held for the first time in
its 47 year history at Belvoir Castle, Nr Grantham, Leicestershire,
Friday 22nd – Sunday 24th July 2005.
This spectacular venue presents a perfect site particularly for core
areas of the show where the castle sits high overlooking the whole
of The Game Fair with the shooting competitions taking place in
mature woodland, the gundog events over natural ground leading to
the water, and the game fishing competitions and events which will
be in the centre of the show on the large attractive lake.

There will be three entrances to the site, each with their own car
park which will be accessed from a variety of routes carefully
planned by the organisers, local authorities, traffic police and the
Estate.
Although The Game Fair has introduced major new show features over
the last 5 years to encourage families and newcomers to visit the
show, Gumakers Row, Fisherman’s Village, Falconry and the extensive
Gundog section are at the very heart of The CLA Game Fair. These
core areas continue to grow with more specialist exhibitors and
added events and displays brought in each year.
The newer show areas which include The Totally Food Show, Elegant
Gardens and Hooked on Horses are all growing in importance as well.
These areas offer families and newcomers the opportunity to enjoy a
great day out, whilst at the same time introducing them to
traditional country sports through the many Have a Go features,
tuition areas, Start Shooting and Fishing Advice Stands and this
year the introduction of a Start Working Your Dog Advice Stand which
organisers feel confident will be popular with regular Game Fair
visitors as well as people visiting the show for the first time.
